Hello and welcome to my Virtual Storehouse of Useless Thought or VSUT or VSHOUT.
I was going to call this the Virtual Storehouse of Thought, but I thought VSofT sounded too techie and gave the impression that I am a programmer or software engineer. I am neither, although I may have dabbled in college at one time (didn’t we all … no?).
I realized that this blog would have nothing of particular value and that I wouldn’t necessarily be a dutiful contributor or have a large sustainable audience. So then I thought calling this the Virtual Storehouse of Lazy Useless Thought. But I discarded that idea when I realized that that acronym (do I need to spell it out?) would suggest something naughty.
I also decided that I shouldn’t be just another complainer on the Internet. If I want to whine, I’ll just post something in the comments section of a news and information site like those other guys sitting in the mother’s basement. So, I will keep it light.
This Virtual Storehouse is a repository for my imagination. Anticipating that the postings will be less than creative has caused me to hedge my bets and call it Useless Thoughts. Self-deprecating, no?
Speaking of self-deprecation, well, my “About me” says it all … almost.
